The nursery is coming back to life

FINALLY a chickadee singing the “Its spring” song. News reports indicate a near-eradication of America’s insect population- birds sure to follow. Anyone over 40 remembers their youth when the “It’s Spring” song would be sung by more than just one lonely bird.

Nursery dog Peetee delays departure for work as long as possible when it’s cold.

Whilst the animal world struggles to awaken these cold mornings, ancient stands of galanthus are already hard at work, defying the freezing nights and uncomfortable days in pursuit of reproduction.

Unique cultivar of Korean pine looks fine all by itself after being rearranged. When it’s cold like this it’s ok to rearrange plants.

After Christmas until early March we are at the nursery infrequently. You can leave a message on the phone but it might be some time before we get back to you.

Note- Inclement weather changes our hours. If in doubt, call us. Inclement weather includes extreme heat and cold, extreme snow and rain.

Winter- call and leave a message. We go in every now and then, we will call you back.
