HURICANE MARIA Story-9/30/2017

All good things must come to an end...

Cold north wind blowing in- combing clouds into "beach sand" patterns. Monarch butterflies appeared at the beach for their fourth instar generation's migration to Mexico. They use the north wind to help push them out to sea, down to New Jersey, a shorter trip than staying over land. Behold the magic of Mother Nature!
Any surfer really paying attention to his/her surroundings has to have noticed butterflies loitering at the seaside areas, stocking up for the humongous effort ahead of them, eating and drinking as much as possible for their flight out to sea in their way to Mexico. It’s truly amazing how many surfers are just blind meatheads totally oblivious of the beauty of Mother Nature during the surfing experience. They’re missing out on half of life by just thinking about the narrow minded act of just surfing.

One solid month of surf. Paradox exists with misery in the tropics and extasy in Rhode Island from damn powerful hurricanes. It's over, however, time to get back to life. We won't see surf like this for another 15 years.

Tan skin, big muscles, egos inflated, skills sharpened, weaknesses exposed, new friends made, weight lost. Who needs washington drama, who needs TV, who needs the news??? Who needs all the bullshit going on in our country today inside your head when you have hurricanes Gert, Irma, Jose, Maria, and tropical storm ten to think about??? It's almost like all that other stuff doesn't exist when all you want to do is survive in huge waves and have fun at the same time?
