Landscaping Services.

Picture
I designed this landscape on the back of an envelope in 1997, installed it a week later.

Customer putting house on market and wanted to know how to spruce it up and quite frankly, I told him not to do anything!

Between my design and his follow through, everything's already been done. I gotta say this is one of our best jobs, with boxwoods carrying the weight of the design.

Possibly one of the biggest weeping Serbian spruces in the northeast. Deer proof.
We started landscaping in the 1970s. back then, there were Yews, Junipers, azaleas, etc. Now there are thousands of combinations of plants to choose from. Our design pendulum has swung wildly back and forth between different types of designs and has settled into a very comfortable place where we balance simplicity, maintenance, survivability and appearance (not to mention deerproofability (if that is a word).

Spring landscaping backs up into sometimes a little bit of a wait because we try to plant in order of who comes in here first but please be assured that it's ok to plant all summer long so there is no limit to when one has to get plants installed ( we plant landscapes from March until end of December).

We can help you figure out what to do on your property in many ways. You can show us pictures here at the nursery and sometimes we can advise you accordingly. Doing this saves everybody time and money and sometimes you can leave the nursery with everything you need, consolidating everything into one trip.

We can also go to your property (usually there is a fee) and consult with you about what your needs are. The best way to use our knowledge is to ask us what we would do "if it were our property." If there is a fee, it depends on the time of year, how far we have to travel, and how much time it takes.

It is easy to landscape a foundation planting from a photo because of the frame of reference the photo offers. It's almost impossible to landscape other areas of the yard with a photo, unless there is some structure involved that offers scale (but we can start with a photo first).
