The Environment...
Matters!

Why doesn’t trump put huge tariffs on environmentally polluting countries? Because we would need to put tariffs on ourselves?

Lyin’ Don giving yet another speech to the masses that he expects his followers to believe. Not one word of what he said is true, surprise, surprise.

I came up with a great idea for the environment:

PUT HUGE TARIFFS ON POLLUTING COUNTRIES. It makes total sense to me. If our government really gave a shit about global warming, pollution, and air/water quality then it would put its money where it’s mouth is.

Since the reality of it is that our republican president doesn’t really care about ANYTHING other than money, you will never see my idea materialize.

I actually have have been thinking about this idea for quite some time. If tariffs can be used to impose philosophical idealism about relationships between countries, let’s start with the number one most important issue facing the world community today, and that is making sure that we hand off to the next generation a planet that can sustain life as we knew it before the climate started to degrade.

This should be a world issue for the world to impose upon itself. Polluters in India are polluting American water and air. American pollution pollutes Canada. When it comes to pollution/climate change, there are no borders.
