Screenshot from NY Daily News- I just offered the nursery to the National guard and St. Vincent’s hospital for medical field tents. Since I’m closed for the foreseeable future, that place might as well be used for something helpful. The store, warehouse, and greenhouse can be quickly converted, and outside there are probably three to three and a half acres of tent space for them. Not the best place for that purpose, I admit. When I called the National Guard, they haven’t yet thought about where they will erect tents, nor have they erected any tents yet. Why? Next week, we are going to be in real trouble. St. Vincent’s church across the street has a very nice paved flat property. I asked them if they wanted to use their property also but inexplicably, they said “NO.” The reason they said “NO” was because they need the whole parking lot for Easter services. They still plan on holding services despite the fact that the entire country is going to start getting sick with thousands dying. Why on earth would they ever think that God’s house can protect humans from coronavirus? They had services on Sunday too. Please, someone explain that. The only reason they could still offer services despite all the news is that the Diocese needs to maintain donations to the church, and if that is the case, the nature of the Catholic Church is coming into clearer focus for me. At a time of national crisis, we all have our challenges and jobs. For most of us, our job is to stay home, and not to hoard (pathetic selfish people). For others, it’s time to chip in and donate if you have a resource that can be of help to the greater good. Ive volunteered my time at a hospital but they are rejecting those offers. Smartly I guess. I could have helped empty rooms or set up tents, I figured, but they have their own people who know how to act in a hospital. So the only thing I have left to give is the nursery, if it can be of use to medical authorities. Here we are 101 years later with an epidemic analysis written long before our own little epidemic (the one tRUMP took full credit since January for fully containing). If you didn’t hate tRUMP before, you need to now. His arrogance and stupidity are blasting off the charts for all to see, even the pant leg-clinging brown nosing republicans who make tRUMP’s pathetic presidency viable. His rejection of science and scientists is going to result in many thousands of deaths, and the self-described “wartime president” needs to be tried for war crimes when (if) this is all over, Hope I live to see it. It wasn’t until just yesterday that tRUMP is taking this seriously, but it’s two months too late. Thousands of people will die because tRUMP made this epidemic all about him and spread calm at a time when we should have been self quaranteening to stop it early. This article makes extremely interesting reading, written in the recent past to warn and care for the future, advice ignored and discarded by our own presidential pathogen, tRUMP himself. Click on the link below for some eyebrow-raising reading. When you finish the article, your mind just might say the same thing that mine just did: ”HOLY SHIT, this whole coronavirus thing seems to have been pretty preventable if our government had read this article!” Yet because tRUMP always knows much much more than the experts in any field of science, economics, politics, and internal affairs, not to mention international relations, we find ourselves 100% screwed.
