Fall harvest/processing

EXTREMELY productive variety of tomato for sauce. I mix in huge heirlooms for more taste also
Hate to say it but the novelty of this garden is wearing off. I make tomato paste/sauce every night. Harvest all the time. War with the fruit flies that love tomatoes more than dogs like chasing balls. Gotta keep the kitchen spotless or you can't see three inches past your eyelids through the clouds of those efficient insects. Blending splatters are par for the course whilst processing in a blender. Just hope that I did it right because this certainly is a substantial effort.

Surfing hurricanes for the past month resulted in a total loss of all the fall cauliflowers, half the cherry tomatoes, all the string beans, and more. I never even planted the cool season seeds for the October-December harvest. I guess you gotta scale your garden to your available time and account for distractions when planting. Don't plant too much or it will go to waste and make you feel inefficient. I guess it's better to have more than less though. It's just sad to toss stuff over the fence for the vermin when proper attention coulda put it in my stomach at some future point in time for free.
