It’s a month or more late but I’m trying seeds anyway. Worked last year.

Sugar snap peas and other candy-like pea pods can climb my fence. Hope deer don’t eat them on the other side.

Loyal meow meow keeping me company

Sleepy-eyed, he comes over to rub heads.

Here kitty kitty

Tail curled, head low, purring cat bumps his head with mine, our traditional greeting when possible.

Easiest job LAST, watering EVERYTHING, just before storm clouds rolled up

Shiny wet corn leaves frame the bottom of this evening view from the top of my property

Looks like a scene from one of those huge oil on canvas golden- framed pieces of art at the met minus the angels right there in my own back yard.

To the West is the setting sun and clearing skies after the storm.
Picture
To the east, a nuclear bomb roiling cloud containing the thunder storm.
I was surrounded on all sides with some of the most beautiful clouds I’ve ever seen, with wet clothes (half sweat/half rain), cooling air, darkening skies. Time to go inside and relax after a sweltering muggy slow day at the nursery.
Like I always say, there’s more to working in the yard than working in the yard. The challenges, the physical activity, the sights, sounds, scents all inspire me, and help me realize that every day up there is different. Ahhhh, it’s great to be alive!!!
