SORRY- WEEBLY HAS MIXED UP PICTURES ON MY SITE- TRYING TO RESOLVE

Tomato plant support

Last year’s failed staking idea- belongs in the garbage. Plants were planted too close and I underestimated how big tomatoes grew and how heavy the fruits were.

Use your head and be creative and intelligent when doing projects. It's amazing how simple solutions can make your gardening experience enjoyable! This spool with bamboo slid through the fencing fed the twine to me in the simplest and easiest way. cool!
Picture
I use weed whacker string for a lot of projects (but I have a "no weed whacker" rule for myself- too much pollution, noise and time. If you need a weedwhacker, something is wrong with your garden design). The string is tough and stretchy and I use it like twine, rope, and wire.
Picture
The spacing of the stakes is about 9' and the spacing of the twine is ~16," hope its sufficient. If not, I'll fix it
Picture
The first twine height is about 18" off the ground
Picture
The end result surprisingly looks exactly like I visualized.

Low tech security system for getting into the garden. It will not keep out the asshole neighbor who snuck in and stole food last summer from me but it's good enough for now. I'm considering putting up a sign "Just for him!" If he has no problem stealing my food I figure he has no problem stealing everything else too! Absolutely unbelievable!
